Semantic Inquiry Workspace

A governed environment for moving from inquiry to knowledge.

Without silently turning model output into authority. Inspect assumptions. Preserve alternatives. Govern transitions. Bind consequence only when standing exists.

Roadmap
Build 15 integration status (local candidate): SIW R3 same-object consumption of Book One via Canon Access is proven and integrated into the local Reader candidate (activation, inspection, and inquiry-local annotation all live-verified); a dedicated SIW R3 UI surface beyond the embedded Reader panel remains open. This is where that live SIW R3 ↔ Canon binding is actually visible right now: Open the Reader / Three-Panel (local candidate) → — open a chapter, then use its embedded SIW panel. See the Build 15 convergence status table for the full breakdown. Not publicly deployed.

Reader / Three-Panel + SIW R3

8812's Three-Panel Reader, embedded live. Open a Book One chapter, then use the panel's SIW view to see the identical governed object — same id, version, representation, and standing — resolved a second time through SIW.

Hierarchy, relationship workspace, context inspector, and multi-view state now converge into one three-surface experience. Its tree now also resolves Book One's governed standing live through Canon Access.

History stays inspectable

The historical prototype remains an experience artifact. Release Two governance and conformance claims remain separately bounded.

Compare architecture →
Intelligence is not authority.

Reasoning quality does not establish standing to act.

Acceptance is not authority to bind.

An accepted finding remains distinct from merge, activation, binding, and consequence.

Human experience

Familiar actions. Inspectable depth.

SIW should not make a person learn schemas, hashes, or state machines before asking a question. The governance machinery is available when it matters, through progressive disclosure.

02InspectSee interpretation and assumptions.
03BranchPreserve alternatives without overwrite.
04CompareReview findings and evidence.
05Accept / rejectHuman judgment remains explicit.
06ProgressLater consequence requires separate standing.

Knowledge Explorer

One knowledge space. Multiple views.

The default is a low-cognitive-load nested tree with a contextual sidebar. Map, 3D, lineage, evidence, chronology, and search are alternate views over the same selected knowledge object.

Standing

Governance concept

Present authority or eligibility to rely, act, or progress under current conditions. Standing is evaluated in context and may require revalidation.

Current-standing revalidation is part of the accepted R2 progression layer.

Governance lineage

SIW applies an older Genesis AiX governance architecture to semantic inquiry.

LifeStack provides the broad lineage; GPM/GDE contributes governed continuity, authority/admissibility, persistence and receipts; WEDGE sharpens consequence control; SIW applies those principles to inquiry progression.

LifeStack

Broader governance

Policy, provenance, trust, security, knowledge, and governed infrastructure.

GPM / GDE

Governed continuity

Memory, actor/authority scope, admissibility, review, persistence, provenance, and receipts.

WEDGE

Consequence boundary

Current standing, route, executor, no-bind/refusal, replay, substitution, and verification.

SIW

Governed inquiry

Inspection, activation, bounded branching, selective merge, composition, binding, and evidence.

Not a mandatory dependency chain.

SIW preserves its own lifecycle authority and may use local or compatible external services.

Inspect the lineage →
Governance

Governance preserves the conditions under which knowledge, authority, standing, and consequence may legitimately progress.

Genesis treats governance as explicit authority, state, provenance, evidence, revalidation, refusal, and consequence-boundary discipline. Policy and logging may support governance, but neither is a substitute for it.

Policy

States what should happen.

Observation

Shows or records what happened.

Evidence

Allows a claim about what happened to be inspected.

Governance

Determines whether a transition or consequence may occur under current standing.

Governance is not control unless it controls the consequence.

Proof should expose the claimed invariant, scope, route, protected state, expected transition, observed result, exclusions, and verification path.

Knowledge management

Not only where information is stored.

SIW may be especially well suited to knowledge-management applications because it can preserve lineage, branch history, evidence, status, supersession, and present standing instead of reducing knowledge to documents in folders.

Traditional question

Where is the information?

Search, folders, tags, links, and retrieval remain useful.

SIW adds

What happened to it?

Where did it come from? What changed? Which alternatives survived? What superseded what?

Governed reliance

What may we rely on now?

Current status, evidence, standing, and later revalidation become part of the knowledge object.

Multiple ways into the same architecture.

Existing Genesis AiX videos can give non-technical visitors a faster first understanding, while optional audio overviews can support page-by-page orientation. The written record remains the inspectable source beneath both.

Community, OEM & commercial licensing

Genesis AiX-led. Open participation. Controlled governance.

Genesis AiX intends broad community and research availability together with frontier-lab and platform OEM adoption of SIW governance technology, while separately reserving Genesis-operated hosted model/capability federation and other commercial service layers. Final distribution, OEM, patent, and commercial-service terms remain pending deliberate IP and legal review.

SIW Release Three · Build 15 current candidate

This is the current SIW surface: Release Three, resolving real Book One/Canon objects through Canon Access.

SIW R3 same-object consumption of Book One is proven and integrated into this local Build 15 candidate's Reader — the same governed object identity, version, representation, and standing shown in the Reader's Context panel is resolved a second time through SIW, live, not asserted. Its operational architecture is designed to connect through the Genesis API Middleware / Model Gateway to selected frontier models and knowledge-management environments — see the Gateway row of the Build 15 convergence status table for exactly what is and is not live today.

Historical / accepted evidence — not the current Build 15 candidate

The SIW Release Two Team Review Candidate 1 below is a separate, externally-hosted, standalone deployment preserved as accepted evidence. It does not know about Book One, Canon Access, the Reader, or any Build 15 work — opening it will not show anything built this tranche.
