Genesis AiX maintains the reference architecture, release boundary, terminology, and project governance while the system establishes itself.
Working open-project posture
Open participation does not require invisible architectural authority.
The intended starting model is a Genesis AiX-led open reference architecture with visible proposals, review, dispositions, releases, versioning, and contribution standing. The final contribution and licensing rules remain subject to release and IP decisions.
Design principle
SIW should practice the governance discipline it asks others to inspect.
Project decisions should leave a visible path from proposal to review to disposition rather than allowing architecture to drift through undocumented edits.
Proposal
A change begins as a candidate. Submission alone does not confer architectural standing.
Review
Technical, architectural, evidence, compatibility, and governance implications are inspected explicitly.
Disposition
Accept, modify, reject, hold, or supersede decisions remain visible and attributable.
Release
Accepted changes enter a versioned release with status, scope, source, and evidence records.
Initial model
Genesis AiX-led, with a path toward broader stewardship if adoption earns it.
The project does not need to surrender architectural stewardship in order to be genuinely inspectable and participatory. Neutral or foundation governance can be considered later if a real external maintainer and adoption community develops.
Inspectable contribution path
Issues, proposals, code contributions, tests, documentation, and research challenges can enter through explicit review and disposition.
Broader neutral governance
A foundation, consortium, or distributed maintainer model is a future option, not a prerequisite for an initial licensed source or evaluation release.
Repository model
Public presentation is not canonicalization.
The website may render and explain repository-controlled material, but it should never silently change a document’s status, authority, version, or lineage.
